The effects of rotation and revolution

Why do the seasons change? Why does night become day? Why is it summer in Australia when it is winter in France? Why do some parts of the world have more daylight than others? What are the phases of the moon?

In this unit we answer all these questions plus many more. We will discover how the movement and position of the Earth, with respect to the Sun, affects the amount of light that reaches us, the passing of time, and the changing of seasons. We will also learn about the phases of the moon and how the Earth and moon are related.
