How is scientific knowledge transmitted?

This Learning Unit explains the evolution of scientific knowledge until science could begin to be truly shared and agreed upon, starting then the construction of the great "building" of science. Students will find out why mathematics is the language of science: a precise and rigorous language which is shared and understood by scientists around the world. They will understand the value of the scientific method and they will meet some of the most important scientists in history. This unit invites students to reflection, reasoning and will awaken their interest in science and mathematics.

The related activities stimulate the student´s manual, cognitive and creative skills and favor learning through reasoning and experimentation, that directly involves the student in the acquisition of new knowledge.
